I have been making my Meepers and storing them away to in order to bake several of them at once. I finally created enough to do a batch the other day. They didn't turn out half bad either, so I am rather pleased with this batch's results.
I made some simple Meepers in single colours: Pomegranate Red, Sticky Note Yellow, Joyous Candy Orange, and Vibrant Grass Green.
In this batch, I had made about four Meepers in each of the four colours. I wanted to have some simple Meepers for sale in my shop at a lower price for customers to buy as sort of a trial if desired. I know painters will do something similar, where they sell their expensive painting but also have smaller prints and cards available at a much lower price to customers who are not quite ready to purchase the large painting.
Actually, the Meepers from this batch are relatively larger than the Meepers I made as a kid. The average height of Meepers from this batch being about the size of a thimble.
I made a some more detailed Meepers as well.
A couple may have been influenced by some of my all favorite shows...
*cough cough!* My Little Pony and Pokemon *cough!*
I made the "Butterfly Shy Pegasus" for my friend, Lexi, who also adores the Friendly Pony shows and the "Pocket-Sized Mud-Fish Monster" is for my boyfriend, because he smashed the first one I gave him... sadness.
I do not plan on selling the Meepers inspired from TV shows in my Etsy shop at this point in time because those really are not my designs to be selling. So for now I only make them as fan art or as gifts to close friends.
I love the way the curls turned out though on the Pegasus! Usually I have some difficulty getting hair styles right on Meepers.
I made a couple animals too and I liked the way they came out :)
The dragon seems to be the overall favorite among the people I showed the batch to.
I'm thought it would be funny to make some "Pup-Cake" themed Meepers and the taco Meeper was completely spontaneous... must have been hungry, I suppose..
I am hoping to start creating listings for the Meepers and have them ready to sell in January, so keep your eyes peeled for them on my Etsy shop: MiaouKeo
The prices of the Meepers will range from $4.00 - $7.00, depending on the details and such, but most of them will remain around $6.00 in price.
I apologize for dim lighting in the photos, some of them are hard to see.
I also did taxes for the first time! Woot! Woot! Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be :)
Happy New Years everyone!!
