It starts with a lil bit of nothing.
And just suddenly,
It becomes a lil bit of something.
And just unintentionally,
It commences to be a remarkable scene.
If you bear with me,
I'll tell you it's entirely possible
To do this intriguing thing,
Where you take a lil bit of nothing,
And turn it into a lil bit of something.
I'm not very fond of writing. Especially not of poems. I don't know about you, but for me writing poems feels more like applying for citizenship, as there appears to an overwhelming amount of rules to doing both. I did want to start out on a more serious and mature note though.
My name is Kyra. I enjoy playing video games in my free time. As for more productive hobbies, I like drawing, sculpting, and sewing. I typically draw in pencil, ink, marker, and occasionally with pastel. When I say,"sculpting," I mean with polymer clay (like Fimo). I used to make little puppy-like creatures with clay when I was younger and have started getting into making them again. I sew sock monkeys more than anything, but I like to make quilts every now and then. I'm hoping to show some of the projects I make here along my journey to start my own business.
I am creating this blog to share discoveries, accomplishments, and such as I go through the process of opening a shop. I want to open a little shop on Etsy and sell artwork to get a better taste of what it is like to run a business. I am still looking into various art styles and ideas of what I am going to sell. At this point, I am leaning towards making my little clay figures. Sometimes, my ideas are a little bit crazy and I have to be reminded that stapling plants to my wall is not a very well-thought out idea. I appreciate feedback and comments of what you think of my ideas/projects. I will inevitably make mistakes and maybe miss something important (knowing my forgetfulness). Just when you give criticism, please drop it gently! I am not as upset and put down as much as I used to be by what people say (due to working in a retail/customer service environment for some time), but I can be a bit sensitive and hurt when yelled/cussed at. I don't need that. You don't need that. Let's just agree not to yell at each other.
I'm not entirely sure what made me want to start a blog and business. I can think of various reasons, but in reality, I think I wanted to feel like I was doing something more with my life than going on normally and blending in. I like feel I could be successful at doing this.
